BREACH OF TRUST

 

Sinking in pool of tribulations

You gave me hope that I clung onto

Little did I know you were playing with my fears

And I with fire.

 

I placed my trust in you

Though your actions confounded  me

 I did not give wind to the

Unfathomable tales that puzzled my mind.

 

As the waves came hitting my shore

They washed away all dubieties

 Your deceits and your lies stood bare

 My soul was ripped apart.

 

You continued with your infringements

And I let you play your games

But this time I was mindful of you

My assertiveness bewildered you.

But I chose to remain silent

My silence was a tribute to the trust

The trust that I had placed in you

The trust that was axed by your greed.
